Christmas is a hard time of the year to stay fit and focused on the Diet.Everyone pampers you with yummy food and you can’t refuse it because it is Christmas and it is love 🙂 .
I am that person who is very bad at eating healthy in general , and not to mention the holidays. These are the tips I have thought might help me in staying healthy this festive season.
If you are anything like me, then why not we both try these tips to stay healthy this Christmas season
- Get Outside: The weather is so good this season that the only thing you want to do is cozy up on the bed, snack on the favorite cookie all day long. But this ain’t going to make you get fit magically :P. So get outside. Take a brisk walk every day, walk to work if its nearby . Embrace that lovely breeze, it will de-stress the mind as well.
2. Buy things only you love: It is not necessary to have all that Christmas cookies just for the sake of it. Just stick to what you always have normally.
I know , it is pretty hard to ignore those cookies in the special red Christmas packaging. I am saying not to overboard with those .It might help in cutting down some extra calories from the diet.
3. Drink more water: Not just any liquid like alcohol, soda etc. having more sugar which adds up quickly. I don’t know about you , but I have this thing of getting dehydrated after having so much wine or alcoholic drinks in general.
So it is always very important to keep us hydrated to have healthy life.So drink up as much that would keep you hydrated.
4.Keep it Balanced: If you have a Christmas party later at night, do your lunch accordingly. Balance it out for the heavy dinner you are going to have.
Don’t go for all heavy meals three times a day. Prep yourself to have a balanced diet through out the day.
5. Sleep: This is the key to stay energized for an entire day. With so many Christmas parties, guests at house, shopping , holidays are hard time to get proper sleep.
Sleep deprivation is one serious issue that can affect our health very badly. So during this holidays, try to get at least 6-7 hours sleep regardless of how packed your schedule is.
Hope you try some of this tips. 🙂
